Step1 Greetings.

Who’s on duty today?

Ss introduce the day, the weather and the title to the whole class in turns every lesson.

Step 2 Revision

Describe the pictures in English. Remember to use the Present tense. The drills on the right top can help you.

Step 3 Presentation and practice

1. These are the boy’s family members.

Father, mother, brother and sister.

What are they doing?

Discuss each picture.

Tell the students the rules of writing rhymes.

Read the rhyme in different ways.

2. The boy is reading a book.

What book is he reading?

He is reading a book about Tom and Jerry.

The cat is Tom and the mouse is Jerry.

3. Let’s watch the cartoon about a dog and a mouse.

Try to put the pictures into correct orders.

4. Watch the cartoon and read after it.

Read it in roles.

Retell the story.
